What data do we hold?
As a Committee that fundraises to enable the maintenance and continued use of this community facility we keep certain information to enable us to do this.
We have a list of email addresses that have been supplied to us. This will be either be by a person giving it to us or if you have ordered tickets or contacted us in other ways. These are used only for promotion and notifications regarding Potto Village Hall, e.g. sending out event information, if there is an issue with car parking or in an emergency - such as Fire etc.
We do not supply those email addresses to any others. Emails will always come from our official [email protected] address. Only in exceptional circumstances - such as the hacking of this email address, would another committee member or trustees email address be used. This would generally be to inform of the issue and to provide a contact for those using the Village Hall until such a time as the issue is fixed. A list of committee members is available on our website and at the Village Hall.
We also separately hold a list of names, addresses, email or phone numbers for those of you who are in the parish of Potto. This is for the use of the Management Committee only, to promote events and provide other relevant information in connection with the Village Hall only. The only other time this would be used is in the event of an Emergency, especially that which could risk life.
If you no longer wish to receive promotional emails from us or wish only for us to have your information for emergency use only, then please do contact us on the email address supplied and we will sort it out.
