The Hall

The original land and building was given to chosen trustees by E. B. Richardson of Potto Hall for the use by the community as The Village Hall. It was rebuilt by County Endeavour on behalf of the Potto Village Hall Committee as part of the Manpower Services Programme with the foundation stone being laid by Councillor L. Bailey in 1986 and officially opened by Mr. H. V. C. Tarren on 13th of December 1986.

The Hall, which is located down a private road adjacent to the southern wall of the pub, has a car park and is a single storey building with disabled access and has usable floor space of approximately 220 sq. metres comfortably accommodating up to 100 people for seated events.

Our recently refurbished (2020) Hall has a new kitchen with Range Cooker, a licenced Bar, toilet facilities including disabled toilet.

Available for use during hires we have long tables to seat 8, round tables seating 8 to 10, chairs, cutlery, china and glassware. We also have a PA system available (with entertainment licence) and a Bar.  We have a stage including steps that can be used for plays,  music and other events. We also have a range of seating suitable for use outdoors with a selection of marquees.

We have very reasonable rates for hire of our venue and our Bookings Secretary is always happy to answer any queries regarding this.
